Leaders in University Management.

Fin Edu Consult Oy has been one of the organizers of the “Leaders in
University Management” program organized by the European Union and
Ministry of Education of Poland. Fin Edu Consulting Oy was one of the 3
organizers of the program along with Helsinki University HY+, and the
Association of Polish Universities for Internationalization.

Fin Edu Consulting Oy has hosted rectors, deans and administrative staff
of various Polish universities for a total of 60 participants total of
4 study visits for 15 participants each, as part of the project
entitled “Leaders in university management” of the Operational
Program.

The participants have observed Finnish university experience in:
– Internationalization of the university,
– Consolidation of the university,
– Cooperation with the socio-economic environment,
– Development of new educational methods and competencies of students
and academic staff,
– Cooperation of universities and research institutes,
– Development of key competencies of the university.

Participants have joined seminars on Trends and Developments in
Finnish University Internationalization
at the University of Helsinki, by the Head of International Affairs,
Markus Laitinen

Fin Edu Consult Oy experts have presented Finnish Education System from
various perspectives in the “Finnish Education System in a Nutshell”
context.

Rectors and Deans of The Polish Universities paid a visit to the
Ministry of Education of Finland and received Ministerial perspective
of the internationalization of education.

Visiting the University of Helsinki Centre for Continuing Education
HY+ HEUREKA was a great experience for the participants.

Professor Maija Aksela from Director of LUMA Centre (University of
Helsinki Science Education Centre) has presented activities of LUMA
through multidisciplinary science education for children and youth,
the University of Helsinki – in collaboration with national and
international organizations – researches and develops new pedagogical
solutions and educates both future and current teachers.

Participants received a seminar on Strategic approach to
English-Medium Instruction and university language policy from
Specialist Esko Koponen, University of Helsinki, and Strategic
Services for Teaching.
